What We Do
Community Building
The BISB-PA has become an organizer of some of the best-loved events throughout the school year. These include Back to School Events to welcome new families, the fabulous Fall Féte & Bake Off, the spectacular Parent & Staff Holiday Party, the Halloween & Valentine’s Day Bake Sales, the International Food & Culture Festival, and the End of Year Picnic.
Staff Appreciation
The BISB-PA shows its gratitude to our wonderful and very deserving staff in various ways throughout the year. Parent-sponsored events in the past have included catered breakfasts, weekly goodies for the staffroom, massages and ice cream treats during training days, as well as end-of-year gift baskets. All staff appreciation events take into consideration the Nord Anglia Education Gifts & Hospitality Guidance.
Enhanced Student Experience
The BISB-PA and parent-led groups have sponsored or facilitated many after-school and extra-curricular clubs, supplemented Student Socials and the Senior Prom, brought in special Guest Speakers, supported the Year 10 Work Experience program and have led multiple Charitable and Community Service initiatives throughout the school.
Fundraising
The BISB-PA is 100% parent funded. Our primary fundraising events are the Fall Fundraiser in September and the annual Holiday Cocktails and Silent Auction held in December. Additional funds are raised through the Halloween and Valentine’s bake sales, the School Spirit Store, the Pre-loved Uniform Shop, and through our affiliation as a non-profit organization with AmazonSmile and Mabel’s Labels.
